Last couple days I have been thinking about what steps I can take to fine tune my lifestyle. I think the best word to use for what I am looking for is Simplicity. I want my life to be simple and free from stress. The starting point for me is my home. I want to eliminate all the things around me that are completely useless. I hold on to things because "I might need that" or "I can't live without that". I see pictures of homes that have very little in them and they seem so peaceful and calm. Of course some things like this tub take lots of money, that I don't have, but there has been to be simpler ways to accomplish the same things. I want to reduce the clutter and mental clutter from my house and mind.

I love reading posts that make me say, "Yes, yes! I understand completely what you're saying!" Simplicity in all things is my goal too, which is totally against the today's norms of acquiring as much as possible. I think having too many things is a form of attachment; it makes me feel heavy and lethargic. The more I get rid of the lighter I feel. Besides getting rid of "stuff" (you should hear George Carlin's take on it if you can stand the profanity) I want to simplify my surroundings. Where I live now is getting much too cluttered with stores and with people. Didn't mean to bend your ear, just feeling you utterly.
Hello TWS :) Thank you for your BURST of energy and encouragement to me! I have been very busy(too busy)getting ready to go back to work and cleaning and many other things and I have neglected my daily postings(boo me) but it was delightful to find your words of shared understanding of what is becoming important to me in simplifying my life and surroundings. I'm Grateful for your sharing with me. Thanks!!
