As I sit here and write this mornings blog, I am thinking about the shopping that I need to do today in order to bring home the living food that sustains me. I prepare for "battle" by bringing my own food packed with me and having some fresh juice and veggie nibbles handy. When I walk into the store the first thing I face is walking through the "layout". There is a zone around the Organic Produce and It is like a military frontline that you must battle through to get to what you want. There is the bakery/bread corner, next the meat department, then the cheese and the "ready made" deli/dips and chips. The Fruits and Veggies of my desire is surrounded on ALL SIDES. In the past, my eye caught all of it and I craved all of it! Now I see all that junk like land mines that I must carefully go around in order to avoid danger to my health and well being. Once there, I can relax and indulge myself in the Joy of searching for what my body needs :)
I am looking in the fridge and seeing what I didn't use up this week and I am surprised to find things there that I used to eat all the time and I didn't really touch em. Yes, my body is talking to me.
I used up all the:
- Baby Spinach
- Mangos
- Watermelon
- Cantaloupe
- Apples
- Onions
- Grapes
